2018 Application forms for UK student funding for African students are available for those seeing scholarships at the University of London School of African Studies (SOAS). The University of London offers fully and partially funded scholarships to international students at SOAS yearly.

The United Kingdom (UK) Students funding application process would run through 29th January 2018 for candidates who are  nationals of Sub-Saharan African countries living in their country of origin.

The Felix scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees; living costs (£15,560 in 2017-18) and a return air fare. This Masters scholarship is shared with International Students House, which provides free accommodation and breakfast. The accommodation cost will be deducted from the living cost of £15,560.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • be citizens of a Sub-Saharan African country.
  • have a first class undergraduate degree.
  • demonstrate financial need.
  • have applied to or applying to The University of London for a Masters taught program.

To apply, prospective students need to submit…

  • transcripts,
  • an explanation of the grading system for any degree obtained outside of the UK,
  • two references,
  • CV, and
  • a personal statement.
