AfriPlantSci Summer School Scholarships For Early Career Researchers is now available on offer in Kenya for 2019. This is a 2-week, residential program, which gives an interactive learning experience to researchers. Early-career researchers from across sub-Saharan Africa whose research falls within the broad topic of Plant Health are strongly encouraged to apply. It is also available for MSc students, PhD students and researchers recently graduated from their studies (within 5 years). Potential attendees should have the aspiration to build their careers through international networks and a passion to address plant health challenges in Africa. See below for more details.

Scholarship Type:

Scholarships are available to pursue research. This includes MSc students, PhD students and researchers recently graduated from their studies (within 5 years).

Field Of study:

Scholarships are awarded to do research in Plant Health. This course will cover a broad range of science related to plant health, combined with the practical hands-on experience of the latest techniques which can advance research in this area.

The scholarships includes:

  • Registration
  • Travel expensis
  • Accommodation costs for the course will be covered for successful applicants

Tobe qualified, applicants must demonstrate the following:

  • Applicants must be an early-career researchers from across sub-Saharan Africa whose research falls within the broad topic of Plant Health.
  • Preference will be given to MSc students, PhD students and researchers recently graduated from their studies (within 5 years).
  • Applicants should have the aspiration to build their careers through international networks and a passion to address plant health challenges in Africa.
  • Fluency in English ismandatory.
