Applications are invited for the 2nd Call For FMSH DEA Program For International Professors And Senior Researchers for the year 2019. Scholarship is available for researchers from all around the globe.

Founded in 1963 by Fernand Braudel in Paris and chaired by Michel Wieviorka since 2009, the Foundation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH) is both a national and international crossroad which contributes to the development, vibrancy and attractivity of social sciences and humanities. The Foundation creates the essential conditions for scientific research and interdisciplinary dialogue, while initiating dynamics where scientific networks swing into action, and public and private stakeholders cross paths. Scholarship Type:

Scholarships are available for four to six weeks, to international professors and senior researchers.

Field Of study:

Scholarships are awarded to researchers to enables them to carry out work in France (field enquiries, library work and archives).

Scholarship Benefits:

The award covers a monthly allowance of 3 300 € for transport and stay expenses. In addition, FMSH provides support for visa applications and logistics (accommodation and access to libraries).

Researchers from all around the globe are welcome to participate.

Eligibility For The 2nd Call For FMSH DEA Program For International Professors And Senior Researchers:

Applicants must fulfill the following to be eligible:

  • Applicants must be senior researchers, with a PhD or equivalent, and working in institutions of higher education and research.
  • Applicants must be no older than 65 at the time of their stay.
  • The research stay in France must be justified
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

  • A curriculum vitae of 4 pages (including date of birth)
  • A list of scientific publications
  • A research project (4-5 pages) and a bibliography
  • A letter of support by a French researcher is welcome
